Jose Berrios Earns 16th Win Of The Season In Quality Start
3 weeks agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jose Berrios tossed seven innings of one-run ball in Saturday's 7-2 victory over the Cardinals, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out four on the way to earning his 16th win of the season. It was the 30-year-old's seventh consecutive quality start and 20th on the season. The 2x All-Star has been good at home, posting a 10-2 record with a 2.69 ERA, and has put together a nice season overall, with a 3.44 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 12.5% K-BB% to go with his 16-9 record.
