Sometime in the 2026 season, Jose Altuve will reach 2,000 games played and 9,000 plate appearances for his career. Despite all the miles he has put on his body since 2011, Altuve remains a consistent source of home runs, runs, a strong batting average, and a handful of stolen bases. In 2025, Altuve hit 26 home runs, stole 10 bases, scored 80 runs, and produced 77 RBI. He did hit .265, which was his lowest average over a full season in his career, but he was still 20 points better than the league average at age 35. Likely gone are the days when Altuve will hit .310 and steal 30 bases, but he has settled into a decent power-average combo with a new loft in his swing, and a steady 31% hard-hit rate. Now in the twilight of his career, Altuve can still provide fantasy baseball managers with above-average production in all five hitting categories. And at an NFBC ADP around pick 110 in early spring fantasy drafts, this is the latest Altuve has fallen in drafts since very early in his career.--Ryan Kirksey
