John Gibson Beats Blue Jackets In Season Debut
3 weeks agoAnaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson made a winning debut to the season, defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2 on Sunday. He stopped 38 of 40 shots to produce a fantastic .950 save percentage. Gibson sat out the first month of action due to an appendectomy. With Gibson out of commission, Lukas Dostal has carried a heavy workload. Dostal started the campaign in wonderful form but has lost momentum lately. It will be interesting to see how the goaltending situation in Anaheim unfolds. The Ducks also have veteran James Reimer in their ranks.
