Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson finished Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Rangers with two assists. The offensively-gifted rearguard helped Dylan Strome and Aliaksei Protas on the scoreboard. Carlson played his fifth game since returning from a fractured skull and has now averaged exactly a point per game since his comeback. For the season overall, Carlson has produced nine goals and 17 assists in 35 games. He's done very well to return from a nasty injury and it's great to see that his productivity hasn't suffered because of the blow.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
