1 year agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (knee) went 1-for-3 with a walk in his return to the lineup on Friday. Votto had missed three of the past four games with knee soreness after getting hit by a pitch on Saturday. The hit, a single, was the 1,700th hit of Votto's career. It wasn't all positive news, however, as Votto was removed from the game during the ninth inning because his knee was still bothering him. Interim manager Jim Riggleman told reporters after the game that Votto isn't likely to play on Saturday. Votto's fantasy owners will have to make alternate plans at first base with Votto looking highly questionable for the rest of the weekend.--Matt Terelle - RotoBaller
