Joey Votto Has Three-Hit Evening
6 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI in a 9-3 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday. Votto showed no ill effects of the hamstring injury which had held him out of the previous three games. The veteran first baseman got off to a painfully slow start this season but he has been much better of late, hitting .344 over his past 15 games. Overall, he has a .253 average, four homers, 29 runs, and 11 RBI this season. While his batting average is expected to continue to rise, he still isn't hitting for much power, which is putting a damper on his fantasy value.
