Joey Loperfido Exits Saturday Early
1 month agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Joey Loperfido (hip) left Saturday's game early due to left adductor discomfort, according to Mike Wallner of the Toronto Star. The 25-year-old was lifted in the fifth inning after grabbing his hip in pain. He was replaced by infielder Luis De Los Santos after Addison Barger shifted to cover left field. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Sunday's starting nine, as the Duke product may need an extra day off. Since the start of the month, Loperfido has carried a .250/.276/.357 line with three doubles and three RBI. If Loperfido happens to miss an extended period of time, Davis Schneider will likely see an uptick in playing time in the outfield.
