Joel Embiid Continues 30-Point Streak Against The Lakers
2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid recorded at least 30 points for a fifth consecutive outing on Sunday, putting up 35 points on 12-for-21 shooting in a 113-112 win against the Lakers. Embiid, who was 2-for-5 with the three-ball and 9-for-12 at the foul line, also made a massive impact defensively, forcing Russell Westbrook into a bad shot in the final seconds of the game. He collected his 11th rebound from the situation, and Embiid capped off his line with four assists, one steal and one block. Nobody seems to be able to stop Embiid right now, and his run of 30-point games might continue for a while, with the Clippers, Portland and Sacramento coming up on the schedule -- all three have poor defensive numbers against opposing centers.
