Jimmy Graham 2021 Outlook: Will Be Tough To Trust In Fantasy
4 years agoChicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham will head into his 12th NFL season with, perhaps, the most marginalized projected role on a team in his career. Graham actually surprised many in the fantasy community in 2020 with 50 receptions for 456 yards and his highest touchdown total (8) since 2017. The veteran was absolutely dynamite in the red zone and the Bears looked his way often in those situations. Graham was third amongst tight ends with 20 red-zone targets. Graham really faded down the stretch, though, posting five or fewer receiving yards in three of his last seven games. The 34-year-old will head into this season dealing with the rise of teammate Cole Kmet as a starter and Graham may have to earn a roster spot in camp. Graham is still an effective player in the red zone, but his opportunities could severely dwindle in the twilight of his career. Graham is currently ranked well outside the top 12 tight ends and it is difficult to envision Graham as more than a touchdown or bust dart throw streamer in even the deepest of fantasy leagues.
