Jesus Sanchez Sitting Monday With Southpaw Starting
5 months agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the New York Mets with southpaw David Peterson starting. Sanchez has struggled against left-handed pitching this year, hitting just .135 (7-for-52) with one double and one home run, so his absence from the lineup makes sense. Bryan De La Cruz will take his spot in right field, while Josh Bell will start as the designated hitter, and Otto Lopez will make his first start in left field. With a right-hander on the mound for the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, Sanchez should be back in the lineup.
