6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura is making a strong case to make the All-Star team this season. He backed up hitting .382 in the month of May with a .330 batting average in June and now has 46 runs driven in this season. He has been especially dangerous hitting with runners in scoring position, slashing .355/.370/.526 with 37 runs driven in, including an astounding .615 average hitting with runners in scoring position. Segura has been an integral piece to a highly improved Mariners offense this season and shows little signs of slowing down. Segura is an elite fantasy option at shortstop and carries a .363 on-base percentage despite walking only 14 times in 325 at-bats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
