Jaylen Brown Takes Over With Kyrie Irving On the Mend
7 years agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown took over the scoring duties with Kyrie Irving (knee) nursing his ailment. Brown dropped 21 points in Kyrie's absence, including one three-pointer, shooting 9-for-13 from the field against the Bulls. He didn't contribute defensively in this one, but did help out with four rebounds and three assists, which were unfortunately offset by three turnovers. There's talk Irving may sit out the rest of the week, so Brown will have more responsibilities on the offensive end than usual. Look for him to show up again on Thursday, as Brown and the Celtics head to Minnesota to take on Andrew Wiggins and the Timberwolves.
