1 year agoLos Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes could land himself a starter's job for the 2023-24 campaign, at least the team is hopeful that he can fill the role, according to Jovan Buha of the Athletic. "The Lakers have five players who deserve to play at least 20 minutes, at least in the regular season: James, Davis, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt and Taurean Prince," Buha wrote. "That's before mentioning Jaxson Hayes, who the team is hopeful can start and play a prominent role with Davis in two-big lineups." During his four-year stint with New Orleans, Hayes registered 47 starts and put up decent numbers as a member of the first unit, scoring 11.1 points and tallying 5.8 rebounds with 1.1 blocks in 26.1 minutes.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
