Jarrett Allen 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoBrooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen is involved in an interesting situation this upcoming season with the Nets adding veteran big man DeAndre Jordan to their roster. There was a lot of hype around Allen entering the 2018-19 season after promising rookie campaign and some would say he possibly disappointed owners last season with the numbers of 10.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and an above-average 1.5 blocks a night in 26.2 minutes across last season. Allen was looking to up those numbers this season, but with the addition of Jordan, we can only see the young big man putting up similar numbers or possibly less. Allen has made it clear that he wants to start and believes he deserves this role and coach Kenny Atkinson is still unsure of who will start and said it will be “ironed out” once preseason begins. Allen is not the early-round favorite he was last season, so tread lightly when you see him pop up on your draft boards as at the moment, he is a tough player to rely on for the upcoming season.
