Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon (upper body) was seen mixing into practice drills on Wednesday. This marks the first time Spurgeon has practiced with the team since his injury, which occurred before the regular season started. He is eligible to come off LTIR on November 7, and based on his return to practice he is likely to return on or just after that date. When he returns, Spurgeon should see plenty of ice time as part of the first pairing and second powerplay unit. He could also challenge Calen Addison for his spot on the first powerplay unit.
