The Cleveland Browns released starting linebacker Jamie Collins on Wednesday. Collins, who the team acquired from the New England Patriots in 2016, struggled with injuries during his tenure in Cleveland, which affected his play. Collins was due to make $10.5 million in 2019, which certainly played into the team's decision to part ways with him. General manager John Dorsey told reporters, “We want to thank Jamie for his contributions to the Cleveland Browns. These types of decisions are never easy. Jamie is a respected veteran player in this league and we wish him the best as he continues his career.” Collins will certainly be picked up by another team in the coming days, although he will have to settle for a pay cut.--Matt T - RotoBallerRead More News
