7 years agoToronto Maple Leafs forward James van Riemsdyk opened the scoring, netting the first two goals of their game in Buffalo on Thursday. That makes five goals in his last two games, adding to the hat trick he tallied on Wednesday. The goals Thursday mark 31 on the season, setting a new career high for the 28-year-old. His two goals on as many shots have brought his shooting percentage up to 15.1, also the best of his career. Despite going pointless in four games prior to Wednesday’s contest, van Riemsdyk has been a stellar contributor to Toronto’s offense this season. Owners can feel confident starting van Riemsdyk down the stretch and into the fantasy playoffs.--Kevin Acorn
