Toronto Maple Leafs left wing James Van Riemsdyk has scored 36 goals this season, which is a career high for the veteran in the last year of his contract. He has continued scoring at a tremendous rate, netting three goals in his last five games. His 54 points, however, fall in line with his typical production, which draws attention to his abnormally low assist total (18) for this season. Having a career best shooting percentage of 15.5 percent has contributed to his spike in goal production, but as skilled as he may be, that number will likely regress to his career average of 11.6 next year. Going in to next season, take Van Riemsdyk's soaring goal total this year with a grain of salt, but in the meantime continue to ride his hot streak.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
