Jamal Cain Accepts Heat's Qualifying Offer
1 year agoMiami Heat forward Jamal Cain will return to the team on a two-way deal after accepting his qualifying offer. The 24-year-old was reportedly seeking a standard contract in free agency but has now settled for the Heat's two-way deal. After going undrafted a year ago out of Oakland University, Cain featured in 18 games for Miami, registering 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds. He was a 20-point scorer in the G League with 8.5 rebounds. The Heat has been a great developer of undrafted talent and Cain is among the next crop of players. However, he's still only a depth piece for the team and doesn't currently have any fantasy appeal.
