Jakobi Meyers 2023 Outlook: Ceiling Likely Limited Behind Adams
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers enjoyed solid success with the New England Patriots, catching 156 of his 222 targets for 1,670 yards and eight touchdowns over the last two seasons. However, he operated as the clear No. 1 target for Mac Jones during that stretch. In Las Vegas, he'll play with one of the league's most dominant target hogs -- Davante Adams. Many NFL offenses can support multiple high-end fantasy wideouts, but it's tough to have faith in Jimmy Garoppolo behind a poor offensive line in Josh McDaniel's system. Meyers will have solid weeks and should be the favorite to see the second-most targets ahead of Hunter Renfrow, DeAndre Carter, Keelan Cole, Michael Mayer, and Austin Hooper, but it'll be a tough path to big-time upside. Meyers finished as the WR29 (PPR) in each of the last two seasons, but he'll carry a WR50-plus outlook into 2023. He might have a solid floor and be a fine deep league flex play in PPR leagues, but there are wideouts in the same range of the drafts that have real shots at upside.
