Jakob Junis Pitches Well Against Tigers
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jakob Junis took advantage of an easy turn on Tuesday and threw seven innings against the Tigers while only allowing two earned runs. Junis struck out five and walked none while only giving up five hits, but he didn't factor into the decision as the Royals offense waited until the eighth inning to show up. Junis is unpredictable at best, and his below average strikeout rate doesn't make him a terribly attractive fantasy option outside of streaming in deep leagues. He should not be used this weekend when he faces off against the first-place Twins.
