Jakob Chychrun Suffers Laceration, Questionable For Tuesday
Washington Capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun (hand) suffered a laceration from a skate on his hand during Saturday's contest. Head coach Spencer Carbery said he was "lucky," but it was still a "significant" cut. He will travel with the team to Winnipeg for Tuesday's contest but may not suit up. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during Tuesday's morning skate, as it will likely provide clarity on his status. Over his last eight contests, Chychrun has tallied four points (one goal) with 23 shots on goal, seven hits, and six blocked shots. Through 65 contests this season, the 26-year-old has tallied 43 points, with 14 of them coming on the power play. If Chychrun were to sit out on Tuesday, Alexander Alexeyev would likely enter the starting lineup.
