Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson (lower body) will return to action on Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 22-year-old missed Thursday's loss to the Boston Bruins due to a lower-body injury, but luckily for Ottawa, Sanderson's absence will be limited to only one game. Sanderson has played a significant role for the Senators in 2024-25, recording 25 points (two goals, 23 assists) in 47 games while blocking a team-high 102 shots. The Ottawa defense will also welcome back Travis Hamonic (lower body) on Saturday, although Nick Jensen (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the weekend. Hamonic will replace Jensen on the second defensive pairing, while Sanderson will continue his duties on the top pairing. Sanderson is also expected to rejoin the first power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk
