Outside of the obvious, can't-miss entities like Will Zalatoris, Scottie Scheffler, or Sungjae Im, it's often difficult to discern which of the new Korn Ferry graduates is best set for success at the highest level. But while Jake Knapp didn't come onto the big stage with the greatest of fanfare, his first month on the PGA Tour has proven to be as impressive as any KFT newcomer. Knapp followed up a third-place finish at Torrey Pines with a T28 at the WM Open, but maybe more impressive than the results were the underlying ball-striking numbers from the 29-year-old Californian. Knapp gained a total of 6.7 shots on approach around two of the more demanding tee-to-green venues on the PGA Tour, and he also showcased an enticing combination of power off of the tee and touch on and around the greens. That skill set should serve him very well around Vidanta Vallarta, one of the longest golf courses on the PGA Tour, and at outright numbers still sitting at 50-1, he presents a very compelling case as one of this week's preeminent dark horses.--Ian McNeill - RotoBaller
