Jaison Chourio Approaching High-A Promotion
6 months agoCleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio has been performing very well this season in his second look at Single-A and should be expected to join High-A sometime this summer. Through 45 games with Single-A Lynchburg, the 19-year-old holds a .294/.418/.425 line with three long balls, 30 RBI, 17 stolen bases, and an impressive 35:31 BB:K ratio. He has been exceptionally great in his past 11 games, where he is riding a .356/.404/.556 line with 10 RBI and four swiped bags. Chourio got a taste of Single-A ball last summer but was unproductive through the small nine-game sample size. The number three-ranked prospect in the Cleveland system is producing at a high level this season and could become a name to closely monitor once he is moved up to High-A.
