Jacob Markstrom Earns 19th Win On Sunday
4 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom cruised to his 19th victory of the season on Sunday, stopping 19 of 20 shots faced in a 6-1 win over the Ottawa Senators. Coming into the contest having lost three of his past four starts, Markstrom received plenty of offensive support in this one and managed to shut the door when called upon. It's been a rocky debut season for the 31-year-old in Calgary but he's still been able to post a fairly respectable 19-19-2 record to go along with a 2.66 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage in 40 starts. The Swedish netminder will need the guys in front of him to take a step forward in 2021-2022 to regain his status as a number-one goalie in fantasy hockey.
