Jackson Jobe Set To Make Rehab Start On Tuesday
6 months agoDetroit Tigers starting pitching prospect Jackson Jobe (hamstring) is set to make a rehab start with High-A West Michigan on Tuesday. Jobe was placed on the injured list on May 2 with a left hamstring strain. The top prospect in Detroit and number nine overall prospect on MLB.com looked strong through his first extended look at Double-A ball earlier this season. Through 16 ⅔ innings, the former third overall pick held a 2.16 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 10:24 BB:K ratio. He made his Double-A debut last season, where he tossed six shutout frames and allowed just four hits while striking out six. Jobe is one of the best pitching prospects in baseball and should remain rostered in all dynasty formats. He could become a name to monitor in redraft leagues in the second half of the season if he performs well at Double-A over an extended period of time.
