St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day starting pitcher Jack Flaherty struggled on Thursday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out four and allowed two home runs in a very high scoring game. Because his offense absolutely lit up the scoreboard, Flaherty was able to escape with a no decision. He'll look for better results in his next start, which will come against the Marlins next week.--David A Marcillo
