The Detroit Red Wings have signed forward J.T. Compher to a five-year, $25.5 million contract. With the deal having an average annual value of $5.1 million, Compher now boasts the third-biggest cap hit on the Red Wings roster. It's quite an investment from Detroit into the 28-year-old, who has spent all of his NHL career with Colorado so far. Compher recorded 88 goals and 194 points in 423 games with the Avalanche. He hasn't been very consistent with his scoring, but a bigger role in Motown could elevate Compher's fantasy stock.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
