J.J. Wetherholt Goes Deep, Posts Third Straight Multi-Hit Game
J.J. Wetherholt went 2-for-4 with a home run during their contest on Thursday against Double-A Frisco. Wetherholt has now tallied at least two hits in each of his past three contests. During this stretch, he has tallied two extra-base hits and only struck out twice. Over his last 15 games, Wetherholt has held a .315/.456/.574 slash line with three doubles, one triple, three home runs, and four stolen bases. The 22-year-old was selected with the seventh overall pick in last year's MLB Draft. After the draft, he began his professional career with Low-A but was able to make the jump to Double-A this season. If he continues to swing a hot bat, fantasy managers should expect the top prospect in St. Louis to get the call to Triple-A later this summer.
