J.J. Redick 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard J.J. Redick just continues to improve like a bottle a wine. The 35-year-old is coming off a career year in Philadelphia that saw him record career highs in points (18.1 a game), makes from three (3.2 a game) and minutes (31.3 minutes a game). He was lethal in the playoff series against the Raptors and it saw him ink a two-year, $26.5 million dollar contract with the young Pelicans squad. He looks to be the club's first man off the bench and easily could be finishing some games. Yet, assuming this, we will expect to see his minutes take hit as he will be the primary backup to both Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball. He does not provide much outside of points and triples but does provide elite shooting numbers from the guard spot. He is worth an add in later rounds in standard leagues and should definitely be scooped up in deeper leagues.
