3 months agoOakland Raiders wide receiver J.J. Nelson was absent from the team's practice Tuesday after spraining his ankle in Thursday's preseason game. Nelson thought he was healthy enough to return in that game, so it's a bit of a surprise to see him on the sidelines nearly a week after. The Raiders haven't shown any concerns with Nelson and are likely holding him out as a precaution. His status for the team's preseason Week 3 matchup versus the Packers is up in the air, but he should be good to go for the regular season opener in Week 1. With no starting role, Nelson can be avoided in all formats, but could enter the discussion if Antonio Brown or Tyrell Williams were to miss any time.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
