Immanuel Quickley Scores Career-High 38 Points
2 years agoNew York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley posted a career-high 38 points as the team ended up playing out a double-overtime classic with the Celtics on Sunday, eventually coming out victorious 131-129. The 23-year-old logged a huge 55 minutes in the game and finished with 15-for-28 shooting, hitting five times from deep with 12 attempts. Quickley didn't hold himself back in other areas either, picking up eight rebounds, seven assists, four steals and two blocks. The former Kentucky man has seen his role grow throughout the season, and he's been looking particularly impressive during the team's current nine-game winning streak. On Sunday, Quickley also benefited from Jalen Brunson's (foot) absence, which gave him his 11th start of the season. He has averaged 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists as a starter across the campaign.
