New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin stopped all 30 shots he faced against the Golden Knights on Thursday evening in Vegas. This win extended the Islanders' winning streak to two games. The Knights dominated the shot total, but Sorokin was able to lead the way on the road. This was his second shutout of the season. The 29-year-old is beginning to round into form, as he has allowed two or fewer goals in three of his previous four starts. The netminder carries a solid .930% SV and a 2.00 GAA during this four-game stretch. Before this stretch, he allowed three or more goals in his previous six starts and held a poor 4.27 GAA and a .843% SV during that span. Sorokin remains a solid goaltender in all standard formats as he continues to find his footing after a disappointing stretch. He will look to stay hot on Friday evening in Utah.--Andy Smith
