6 months agoKansas City Royals closer Ian Kennedy pitched his way through an exciting ninth inning at home on Monday to nail down his 14th save of the season. Kennedy scattered a hit and a walk amongst his three outs, but a double play erased the threat before it could allow the game to get tied up. This makes three straight scoreless appearances by Kennedy and three straight saves. His contract will almost assuredly prevent him from being traded at the deadline, so he should keep putting games away for the Royals for the rest of this season.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
