Ian Happ 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Steady Production Available Late in Drafts
Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ had another productive campaign in 2025, and while his stats don't jump off the page, they've been relatively consistent. The former first-round draft pick has posted no less than a 116 wRC+ (2025) and no more than a 122 wRC+ (2022) while playing in no less than 150 games (2025) in each of the last four seasons. He amassed a .243-23-79-87-6 stat line with a .333 wOBA last year, and the switch-hitter was especially strong in the second half, generating a .266/.368/.491 slash line with a .368 wOBA and 139 wRC+ in 64 games after the All-Star break. The 31-year-old should be capable of putting up similar numbers again in 2026 after posting a solid 10.4 percent barrel rate along with career-best contact (78.3 percent) and swinging-strike rates (9.4 percent). A tendency not to chase pitches and a 93rd percentile walk rate should ensure the former All-Star gets on base plenty, even if the bat goes cold, which should buoy his run-scoring production. The reliable producer won't cost much in drafts either, with an NFBC ADP of 179 overall, while RotoBaller ranks him slightly lower, at 184 overall.
