Hunter Greene Extends Quality Start Streak To Seven Games Tuesday
4 months agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene turned in another strong start in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Cardinals. Greene pitched seven innings, allowing a single run on four hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with eight strikeouts. The 25-year-old has performed like a former fantasy prospect this season, going 9-4 with a 2.83 ERA, a 10.17 K/9 rate, and a 3.33 BB/9 rate in 24 starts and 143 1/3 IP. He has been on an even more impressive run over his last seven starts, resulting in seven quality starts with a 0.98 ERA. He will have a good chance to extend his quality start streak to eight in his next start, which will be at the scuffling Blue Jays.
