Hunter Dozier Doubles In Loss
5 years agoKansas City Royals corner infielder Hunter Dozier continued his impressive breakout on Tuesday when he knocked his 28th double of the season. The 28-year-old has finally come into his own this year, hitting 26 home runs, 28 doubles, and driving in 82 runs while posting a .286 average. It's been exactly what Kansas City was hoping to get from him for the last five years, when he's been one of the organization's most touted prospects. Unfortunately, the oft-injured slugger still struggled with more injuries this year. He's never topped 137 games played in a season of professional baseball. Future owners may want to be wary of whether Major League Baseball decides to change the ball and the impact it will have on historically struggling hitters like Dozier, but for now, it looks like he's finally made the jump from prospect to proven.
