Minnesota Vikings veteran safety Harrison Smith (illness) is expected to return in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Smith missed the first two games while recovering from an offseason illness, but his return provides a much-needed lift for a defense that has stumbled out of the gate. After finishing as the No. 2 fantasy defense in 2024, Minnesota has regressed in 2025, averaging just 5.0 fantasy points per game (20th among defenses). Smith's return should help stabilize the secondary and add a presence to think about as a blitzer. The Vikings draw a Bengals offense led by backup quarterback Jake Browning, with Joe Burrow sidelined. With their star safety back in the lineup, the Vikings' defense deserves renewed consideration as a fantasy streaming option in Week 3.--Nathan Harvey
