Gus Edwards Looks To Increase His Snap Share Again
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards saw a sharp decline in his snap percentage with the recent play of fellow backfield mate J.K. Dobbins. Before Dobbins returned, Edwards was seeing anywhere between 11 and 16 carries. In Week 14 against the Steelers, he saw 13 even with Dobbins as the lead back. Last week, however, he only had seven but did capitalize with an average of 7.9 yards per carry. Against the Atlanta Falcons, there's a bigger opportunity for the run game to go wild, but his value comes down to whether or not he can capitalize on fewer opportunities behind Dobbins. The 27-year-old slots in at a low-end flex play for Week 16.
