3 months agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Glenn Sparkman took another loss on Thursday when he was lit up for seven earned runs in just 4 1/3 innings. Sparkman allowed nine hits in the short span, and he only struck out one. His record now moves to 3-10, his ERA has risen to 5.86, and he's striking out less than six batters per nine innings. Even his recent pair of quality starts a couple weeks ago featured sub-par strikeout rates. He should not be owned in any fantasy leagues, and only the most desperate owners should turn to him in a time of need for streaming. He's theoretically slated to face the Tigers in his next turn, but September call-ups may change that.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
