The San Francisco Giants hired Houston Astros assistant general manager Pete Putila as the team's new general manager, president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi announced Monday. Putlia will replace Scott Harris, who held the position from 2019 through 2022. Zaidi praised Putila's strong experience in player development and evaluation, as the Giants currently have one of baseball's weaker farm systems. Hopefully, Putila can help get things back on the right track for the Giants, who went a disappointing 81-81 after winning a league-best 107 games in 2021.--Connelly Doan - RotoBallerRead More News
