German Marquez Logs Second Bullpen Session

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez (elbow) has thrown two bullpen sessions since returning to the injured list in late July. Marquez returned to the bump on July 14 after his long recovery from Tommy John but, unfortunately, was diagnosed with elbow inflammation. Manager Bud Black expressed that the 29-year-old will need to log one more successful bullpen session before embarking on a rehab assignment. Marquez has been limited by several injuries over the past two seasons but hopes to return to a full-time role hopefully before the end of the month. Marquez could be worth stashing in deeper leagues as he should have a secure spot in the rotation once he returns.
