5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer will start and leadoff in Game 1 against the Nationals in the World Series. Springer is hitting only .152 in the playoffs but always is a threat when he's at the dish. The slugger will go up against the Nationals starter Max Scherzer Tuesday night and Springer has thrived against right-handed pitching this season. In 354 regular season at-bats against righties this season, Springer is slashing .299/.377/.621 with 17 doubles and 31 home runs. Scherzer is not your ordinary right-handed starter but Springer will be dangerous in Game 1.--Joey C - RotoBaller
