Following a modest .220/.303/.371 line back in 2024, Springer turned in a career season at age 36, posting a .309/.399/.560 line with 32 home runs and 18 stolen bases. This was the third-highest HR total of his career and the second-highest SB total. Under the hood, Springer generated a remarkable .404 xwOBA with a .291 xBA and a .571 xSLG, all of which were within the 97th percentile among qualified hitters. Additionally, Springer generated an elite 16.1% barrel rate, a near seven-point jump from last season, and a 47.6% hard-hit rate, a 10-point jump from last season. Springer was able to enjoy a power surge by lowering his ground-ball rate from 50.7% to a low 37.3% (the second-lowest of his career) and raising his fly-ball rate from 32.9% to 40.9%. His counting stats should remain steady even though the Blue Jays lost Bo Bichette, as they will have a healthy Anthony Santander and newly-acquired Kazuma Okamoto batting in the heart of the lineup. Even though his price is much higher than it has been in several years (OF22, 94.9 ADP on NFC), Springer has legit five-category upside, with impressive metrics suggesting an encore performance could be sustainable.--Andy Smith
