Gary Woodland Thankful To Be Back In Action In 2024
11 months agoOne of the more gripping golf stories of 2023 came in the form of Gary Woodland's recovery from a brain lesion. The 2019 U.S. Open Champion first reported symptoms during the Mexico Open last May, and remarkably made nine subsequent starts from May-August before undergoing surgery in September. Just four months later, Woodland is back and feels as good as ever heading into the 2024 campaign. Obviously, it's difficult to project his true capabilities inside the ropes on the back of such a taxing road to recovery, but golf fans will be overjoyed to see one of the game's brightest talents back in competition.
