7 months agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta has officially been named as a starting rotation member along with Jhoulys Chacin, Zach Davies, Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff. The 22-year old made 14 starts for the Brewers in 2018 with a 4.25 ERA, but that doesn't tell the whole story. The underlying stats show that Peralta was relatively unlucky, with a FIP of 3.72 and a strand rate of only 68.5%. Also, in his time in the majors, Peralta boasted a 11 K/9 and a 12.84 K/9 in AAA. Peralta is still very young and has a lot of upside and strikeout potential and is worth keeping an eye on to see if he can put it all together and breakout.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
