Francisco Lindor 2020 Outlook: The Shortstop of your Dreams
5 years agoCleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor continued his ascent to best shortstop in the league by hitting .284/.335/.853 with 32 HR, 74 RBI, 101 R, and 22 SB. He put up this line in only 143 games as he missed most of April with a calf injury. His ratios were just as solid as the counting stats as he had a 15% K rate, seven percent BB rate, 7.5% Barrel rate, and an average exit velocity of 91 mph. Expect the counting stats to increase in 2020 as he should enter the season completely healthy and garner a plate appearance total closer to his career norm of 717. There have been some rumors of the Indians looking to trade Lindor, but regardless of where he plays, he will be a staple at the top of any lineup making him a no-doubt first-round pick in fantasy drafts.
