Framber Valdez Wild In Final First-Half Start

Houston Astros starter Framber Valdez lasted only four innings Sunday in the Astros comeback win over the Yankees. Valdez (5-1) allowed only two earned runs (three runs total) but walked six Yankees hitters. The 27-year-old has been impressive through his first nine starts this season, posting a 2.98 ERA through 54 1/3 innings pitched. But the left-handed starter's control has waned recently and has issued 13 walks over his last 16 innings pitched. Valdez will try to regroup and get back on the track when the second half of the season resumes next weekend.
