Minnesota Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson stopped 37 of the 38 shots he faced en route to defeating the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday evening. The Wild were heavily outshot in this contest, but Gustavsson was able to lead the way. His lone blemish came in the third period when Sebastian Aho beat him on a wrist shot. This was also a much-needed bounce-back for Gustavsson, as he allowed five goals in his previous start on February 1. Before this poor outing, Gustavsson carried a two-game win streak where he stopped 50 of the 53 shots he faced. Overall, the 26-year-old holds a 21-11-3 record with a 2.61 GAA and a .915 percent SV. He has posted three shutouts. He will look to finish strong before the international break when the Wild host the New York Islanders on Saturday evening.--Andy Smith
